Europe's Premier Fantasy Football Portal

Harry joins an elite group

Wayne Rooney and Michael Owen are rightly acclaimed to be two of the best English forwards of the Premier League era. Despite scoring 40 goals for the national side from 89 appearances Owen failed to smash the 20 goal barrier in any single Premier League season. Rooney, England’s  all-time leading scorer with 51 goals from 109 appearances, has fared better and managed the feat on two occasions, in 2009/10 when he found the net 26 times and in 2011/12 when he went one better, scoring 27 times.

However, the English captain failed to achieve this in successive seasons, something that an in-form Harry Kane has now accomplished, enabling him to join an elite group that includes Andy Cole, Les Ferdinand Robbie Fowler and Alan Shearer.

The Tottenham Hotspur striker is arguably in the form of his life and will surely spearhead England’s attack at this summer’s Euro 2016 Finals. Kane is averaging 4.1 shots per game which is on a par with Sergio Agüero and only bettered by Philippe Coutinho in the Premier League this season. His shooting accuracy has improved as well, marking him down as a popular choice on fantasy football team-sheets in formats where goals and shots on target are rewarded.

Kane is also mixing it with Europe’s top strikers and finds himself figuring in the Top 10 scorers across the 5 main domestic leagues as illustrated above in the www.oulala.com infographic.

Questions were raised at the start of the season as to whether Kane could follow up on his breakout season – he has now delivered the answers in emphatic style. Can he put the icing on the cake by firing the goals to secure Spurs that elusive title triumph or even help England end their 50 year wait for tournament success?
